Name: NaturalPoint TrackIR 4 Driver
Author: NaturalPoint

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the TrackIR 4 before running the installer, run it as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. If Windows blocks the older driver, install in Windows 7 compatibility mode and reboot before reconnecting the camera.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a rear USB 2.0 port directly on the PC, avoid unpowered hubs, confirm TrackIR software is running, and check Device Manager for a NaturalPoint device with a warning icon. Reinstall the driver if it appears under Unknown devices.

Question 3

Version conflicts with newer TrackIR software?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall all existing NaturalPoint/TrackIR software and drivers, remove hidden USB devices, reboot, then install the TrackIR 4-compatible software version. Do not mix old and new TrackIR versions.
