Name: Napster MP3 Player 1GB Driver
Author: Napster

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the MP3 player first, run the installer as administrator, and use a rear USB 2.0 port directly on the PC. If setup still fails, install in Windows XP compatibility mode and reboot before reconnecting the player.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB cable/port and avoid hubs. Confirm the Napster player is powered on and set to USB Mass Storage/MSC mode, not MTP. Check Device Manager for an unknown USB device and update the driver manually.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any previous Napster MP3 or generic USB mass-storage driver entries, reboot, then install the matching 1GB model driver. Do not force an MTP driver if Windows already sees the player as a removable drive.
