Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the N Trance n Tegrity USB Device, open Device Manager, enable View > Show hidden devices, remove any old entries under Universal Serial Bus controllers, reboot, then run the manufacturer’s installer as administrator.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a direct USB port instead of a hub, use a known-good cable, and scan for hardware changes in Device Manager. If it appears as “Unknown USB Device,” uninstall that entry and reinstall the vendor driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows update?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the current driver and delete its driver package, reboot, then install only the manufacturer-supplied package for your Windows version. If Windows keeps reinstalling a different version, temporarily pause automatic driver updates during installation.
