Name: Mustek 2400 USB Driver
Author: Mustek

Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Mustek 2400 USB setup as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for the OS the driver was written for. Disconnect the scanner until setup asks for it.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Check the cable and power, then use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. Remove any yellow-marked unknown device before rescanning.

Question 3

Driver/TWAIN conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Mustek scanner software and TWAIN drivers first, remove hidden scanner entries in Device Manager, reboot, then install one driver package only.
