Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Muratec MFX-1950 installer as administrator. Disconnect the USB cable until setup prompts for it, and remove any existing Muratec printer queues before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check power and use a direct USB port, not a hub. For network models, confirm the MFX-1950 has a valid IP, ping it, and verify the correct port is selected. Ensure the printer is not set to “Offline.”

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Muratec or generic Windows drivers, delete leftover ports/queues, reboot, then install the correct 32/64-bit MFX-1950 package. Avoid mixing scanner, fax, and print drivers from different versions.
