Author: Motorola

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the W755, uninstall older Motorola USB/modem drivers in Device Manager, reboot, then run the driver installer as administrator before reconnecting the phone.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a known-good data cable—not charge-only—plug directly into a rear USB port, and check Device Manager for “Motorola USB Modem” or an unknown device. Reinstall the driver if it shows a warning icon.

Question 3

Version or COM-port conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove duplicate Motorola modem/COM-port entries, reboot, and let Windows re-enumerate the W755. Avoid installing multiple Motorola driver packages; keep one signed version matching Windows.
