Author: Motorola

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Motorola V860 driver installer as administrator, close other phone/Modem software, and reboot before retrying. If Windows blocks an older package, confirm it matches your Windows version rather than bypassing security prompts.

Question 2

V860 not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a data-capable USB cable directly into a rear USB port, not a hub. On the phone, select the PC/data or modem USB mode. Check Device Manager for an unknown Motorola USB device or missing COM port, then reinstall the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing Motorola USB modem/COM drivers in Device Manager, selecting “Delete the driver software,” reboot, then install only the V860 package. Avoid mixing multiple Motorola Mobile Drivers versions.
