Name: Motorola Messenger Modem Audio Device Driver
Author: Motorola

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Motorola driver package as administrator and in Windows compatibility mode for your OS version. If setup stops on driver signing, confirm the package is from Motorola or your PC vendor; do not disable signature enforcement for unknown files.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, check Modems and Sound, video and game controllers for yellow marks. Reconnect the Messenger Modem Audio Device directly to a rear USB port (no hub), uninstall any unknown/composite device entries, then rescan hardware and reboot.

Question 3

Version conflicts/audio dropouts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Motorola modem and audio driver entries before installing the new package. If Windows Update replaces the driver, roll back in Device Manager or set the current driver as preferred; avoid mixing modem and audio packages from different releases.
