Author: Motorola

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, then use Device Manager > Update driver > Browse > Let me pick and select AV/C Panel Device manually. Check Windows driver-signing errors before retrying.

Question 2

DCH 3200 not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the set-top box is powered on, the FireWire/IEEE 1394 cable is firmly seated, and the 1394 host controller is enabled in Device Manager/BIOS. Try another cable or port and rescan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Motorola or AV/C Panel Device entries, including hidden devices, reboot, and reinstall the matching driver. Do not force an older unsigned package onto newer Windows; check Device Manager error codes after reinstalling.
