Name: MotioninJoy Virtual Xinput device for Windows Driver
Author: MotioninJoy

Question 1

Install fails or driver won’t load?

Accepted Answer

MotioninJoy’s legacy unsigned drivers often fail on modern Windows. Run the installer as administrator, use Windows 7 compatibility mode, and reboot. If Windows blocks the driver, check Device Manager for a signed/unsigned conflict before changing boot settings.

Question 2

Virtual Xinput device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the controller before opening MotioninJoy, start the MotioninJoy service, and check the “Local” tab. Try a different USB port directly on the PC; avoid unpowered hubs.

Question 3

Version/emulator conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove other Xinput wrappers such as ScpToolkit, DS4Windows, or Steam Input mappings. In Device Manager, uninstall old MotioninJoy virtual devices—including hidden ones—then reboot and reinstall one version only.
