The Lynx AES16 SRC driver connects this professional digital audio interface from Lynx Studio Technology with Windows and your recording software. It enables audio playback, recording, and access to the card’s routing and synchronization controls. For Windows 11, 10, 8, or 7, choose a driver package that explicitly supports both your operating system and the AES16 SRC hardware.

Key Features

  • Multichannel digital audio: Provides software access to the interface’s AES/EBU inputs and outputs for recording, playback, and integration with compatible studio equipment.
  • Low-latency operation: Supports compatible audio applications through the appropriate driver interface, including ASIO where provided by the selected package.
  • Routing and monitoring controls: Works with Lynx control software to help you manage audio paths, check signal levels, and configure the interface for your workflow.
  • Clock and sample-rate configuration: Gives you access to supported synchronization settings, helping the card communicate reliably with external digital audio devices. Sample-rate conversion is a hardware capability of the AES16 SRC, not something the driver adds to other AES16 models.

How to Install

  1. Confirm compatibility. Check your Windows version and system architecture, then review the driver’s supported-device list and release notes. Do not assume that a package for a newer Lynx interface also supports the AES16 SRC.
  2. Prepare your computer. Close recording software and other audio applications. If the installation instructions require removal of an older Lynx driver, uninstall it and restart before continuing.
  3. Check the hardware installation. If the card is not already installed, shut down and unplug the computer before fitting it into a compatible expansion slot, following the hardware manual. Never insert or remove an internal card while the computer is powered.
  4. Install the driver. Extract the downloaded package if necessary, run its installer with administrator permissions, and follow the prompts. Restart Windows if requested to finish loading the driver and associated control software.
  5. Configure and test. Open the Lynx control application to verify that the card is detected and select suitable clock and sample-rate settings. In your audio software, choose the Lynx driver, enable the required channels, and test playback or recording. If you hear clicks or dropouts, check digital clock synchronization and adjust the audio buffer size.
