Name: Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150 Driver
Author: Hauppauge

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The PVR-150 uses legacy Hauppauge drivers. Run the setup as Administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode, match 32/64-bit, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if the unsigned driver is blocked. Reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for an unknown multimedia/video controller. Power off, reseat the PCI card, try another PCI slot, and install motherboard chipset drivers. Confirm the card is not disabled and that tuner/capture cables are connected.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old WinTV/Hauppauge drivers and software first. In Device Manager, uninstall the device and delete its driver software. Reboot, then install only the PVR-150 driver package—not a newer WinTV driver for another model.
