Question 1

Installer fails or exits early?

Accepted Answer

Current AMD Adrenalin packages do not support the HD 4670. Use the last legacy Catalyst package for HD 4000 series (13.1 legacy where applicable), run as administrator, and install required Visual C++/.NET runtimes first.

Question 2

Device not detected/Code 43?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the HIS HD 4670 IceQ, check the PCIe slot and monitor cable, then open Device Manager. If it shows “Standard VGA” or an error, remove old display drivers with DDU in Safe Mode and reinstall the legacy driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts/black screen?

Accepted Answer

Leftover Intel/NVIDIA/AMD drivers can conflict. Use DDU before installing, disable Windows automatic driver updates, and avoid mixing Catalyst versions; reboot after each change.
