Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Hauppauge driver installer as administrator, match the package to your Windows version and 32/64-bit architecture, then reboot before retrying. Disconnect the NOVA-T Stick during installation if prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the DVB-T tuner directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes and check for an unknown device or entries under sound/video/game controllers. Reconnect after driver installation.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Hauppauge WinTV/NOVA drivers and WinTV software, restart, then install one matching BDA driver package. Avoid mixing driver versions or installing over an existing WinTV installation.
