Author: Hanns-G

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

The Hanns-G monitor INF may be unsigned or incompatible with newer Windows. Use Device Manager > Update driver > Browse, or install the Generic PnP Monitor driver instead.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the VGA/DVI cable, select the correct input on the HC194D, power-cycle both monitor and PC, then use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Older Hanns-G drivers can override EDID and force wrong resolutions. Uninstall the monitor in Device Manager, delete the driver package, restart, and let Windows reinstall Generic PnP Monitor; then set the native resolution.
