Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Confirm your Windows version and 32/64-bit architecture match the Gestetner CP6346 driver package. Run setup as administrator; if it still fails, uninstall any previous CP-series driver, reboot, then retry.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power on the CP6346 before opening the installer, check the USB/parallel cable and selected port, and avoid unpowered USB hubs. Use Device Manager’s “Scan for hardware changes” after connecting.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Gestetner/Ricoh print drivers and leftover printer ports before installing the CP6346 package. Restart Windows afterward and avoid mixing 32-bit and 64-bit driver files.
