Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Genius setup as administrator and try Windows compatibility mode for an older OS. If setup still fails, open Device Manager, right-click the mouse under “Mice and other pointing devices,” choose Update driver, and point it to the extracted driver folder.

Question 2

Mouse not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a different USB port directly on the PC, not a hub. Check the cable/plug for damage. In Device Manager, uninstall any yellow-bang mouse entry, reboot, and reconnect the PowerScroll NB Eye.

Question 3

Scroll wheel/buttons stop working after an update?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the existing Genius driver and device entry, reboot, then install the correct 32/64-bit package. Avoid mixing an old installer with a Windows-provided mouse driver.
