Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Genius MousePen i608X setup as administrator. If it still fails on Windows 10/11, use Windows 7 compatibility mode and temporarily disable antivirus. Reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Tablet not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the i608X directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. Install the driver first, then plug in the tablet. Check Device Manager for unknown/HID devices; unplug/replug and restart.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any old Genius MousePen, tablet, or HID pen drivers. In Device Manager, remove related entries, reboot, then install only the current i608X driver. Don’t let Windows Update replace it with a generic driver.
