Question 1

Install fails or setup exits early?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode if needed. For this USB 2.0 card reader, Windows’ built-in USB mass-storage driver often works; try Windows Update before forcing an older Genesys Logic package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Test another USB 2.0 port and cable, then check Device Manager for “Unknown USB Device.” Uninstall the entry, rescan hardware, and confirm the card is seated correctly in the reader.

Question 3

Version conflicts or repeated driver reinstalls?

Accepted Answer

Windows Update may install a different USB mass-storage driver. In Device Manager, roll back or uninstall the device and delete its driver, restart, then install the correct Genesys Logic package.
