Question 1

BIOS flash fails or file rejected?

Accepted Answer

Verify the exact board model/revision—P4M9007MB 8EKRS2H and 8KRS2H use different BIOS files. Extract the archive, run the Foxconn flash utility as administrator, close antivirus/background apps, and use a FAT32 USB or DOS flash if Windows flashing fails.

Question 2

Board/BIOS not detected by the updater?

Accepted Answer

Check USB format and boot order, try the DOS utility, clear CMOS, load BIOS defaults, and make sure BIOS write protection/jumper settings are not blocking flashing.

Question 3

Version conflicts or POST instability after update?

Accepted Answer

Reflash the correct model-specific BIOS, clear CMOS, and load setup defaults. Do not cross-flash 8EKRS2H/8KRS2H files or downgrade unless Foxconn explicitly supports it.
