Question 1

BIOS flash utility fails?

Accepted Answer

Use the exact Foxconn A78AX 3.0 BIOS A8G i file, not an A78AX-S or A74 image. Run the flash tool from a FAT32 USB/ DOS environment, disable antivirus, and avoid flashing from Windows if the utility stalls.

Question 2

Motherboard not detected by update tool?

Accepted Answer

Foxconn LiveUpdate often misses older A78AX boards. Check Device Manager for the chipset/SMBus driver, run the utility as administrator, or flash manually from BIOS/USB.

Question 3

Version conflict or blocked downgrade?

Accepted Answer

Confirm current BIOS and board revision before flashing. Clear CMOS, disable BIOS write protection if present, and do not force a different A8G revision; mismatched files can cause POST failure.
