Question 1

Chipset driver install fails on newer Windows?

Accepted Answer

The ECS H55H CM’s official Intel H55 drivers target Windows XP/Vista/7. On Windows 10/11, run the installer in Windows 7 compatibility mode or update the Intel chipset INF manually from Device Manager.

Question 2

LAN/audio not detected after reinstall?

Accepted Answer

Install the Intel H55 chipset driver first, reboot, then install the ECS Realtek LAN/audio packages. Missing chipset INF can leave onboard devices listed as unknown.

Question 3

Version conflicts with Windows inbox drivers?

Accepted Answer

If ECS Realtek audio/LAN setup refuses to install, uninstall the existing device in Device Manager, delete its driver, reboot, and install the package matching your exact board revision.
